The Police Woman by Justin W.M Roberts

Author                       Justin W.M Roberts
Publication Date     31 October 2016
Genre                        Thriller Suspense Romance

In the year 2026, narcoterrorism wreaks havoc on the world as drug cartels operate as dominating, murderous dictatorships. The powerful Irish Drug Cartel has set up drug manufacturing plants in England, Ireland, and Indonesia and they will kill anyone who gets in their way.

Sarah is an ambitious policewoman from an antiterrorist unit called Densus-88. She's also smart, beautiful, and extremely good at her job, which is why she is assigned to an Interpol Incident Response Team, set up to find and stop The Cartel. Alongside colleagues from the United Kingdom's SAS, she must quickly learn new Close Quarters Battle tactics and apply them to a vengeful and threatening battlefield.

Sarah's investigation appears to be going well until the fight turns personal. She must now struggle to save her friends, family, and even herself. Spanning the globe with a keen knowledge of special forces tactics and some genuinely shocking twists, this book warns of a bloody, drug-addled future we may soon face.

This thriller is about the fight against The Irish Cartel and drug trafficking. This organisation has established a very profitable network across Great Britain and Indonesia. The key members are highly skilled and ruthless in their dealings.

Sarah is a high ranking officer in Indonesia, handpicked by the antiterrorrist unit because of her skills and abilities. She is dedicated and ambitious with good future prospects.

Michael is currently working undercover for Interpol in the UK. He is part of a team made up of officers from the different specialist units such as MI5 and SAS. This team's main aim is to track down and eliminate the Irish Cartel. A task which is proving to be difficult and dangerous.

Sarah has been drafted on secondment to assist this team in England because part of the Cartel's operation is based in Indonesia. She settles in very quickly and becomes a valuable member of this elite team. They work well together whilst brainstorming strategies to help accomplish their mission. Although Sarah gets on well with all the team members, she spends more time with Michael in and outside of work.

They start comparing notes and when Michael comes up with a plan, she has no hesitation in playing her part. Whilst snooping around, they attract the attention of the wrong people and soon find themselves in a dangerous predicament. Having survived an ambush, they are now in a more dangerous situation than before. The Cartel doesn't take too kindly to this opposition and wants blood. Sarah becomes a target but The Cartel is in for a shocking surprise!

This novel is fast paced and action packed with no end of twists and turns. The team spirit is impeccable. The skills involved in each and every fight are very graphic. The Cartel uses brutal and psychotic torturing methods. There are traitors within the official departments. The training is very robust and life like. Despite all the carnage, there is love, laughter and humour. There are some heartwrenching moments, when I had to contain myself and ask why oh why? Then there is more!

Although, this is fiction, there are some very interesting and informative historical facts throughout the story. I absolutely loved the interactions between Michael and Sarah as well as the banters with their colleagues. An engrossing and fantastic thriller with supreme tactics.
